The name of the vine contains the characteristics of the wine obtained: deep color and bitter aftertaste. The pedoclimatic characteristics of the Bari Murgia, characterized by significant temperature variations, scarcity of rainfall and the composition of the pebbly-calcareous soil enrich the wine with aromas and alcohol content.
In the glass it is possible to appreciate a ruby red color with violet reflections.
The nose reveals an intense and complex bouquet of red fruits, berries and undergrowth.
On the palate a full-bodied and balanced wine is presented. Nice acidity and soft tannins. Quite persistent.
It goes perfectly with all the dishes of the Apulian culinary tradition, such as horse steaks, roasted lamb, stews, game and meatballs with sauce.
A serving temperature of 16-18 ° C is recommended.
